It was important to keep an open mind when taking this class as while we may have some social media experience, expanding our horizons of tools that we can recommend to others for various purposes has been helpful. Beyond the social media tools, other various multimedia tools, and resources came in handy. Some of my top favorites of these semester were Medium, a Twitter connected service that allows a simple blog to be created. Most recently, Coggle.it proved to be a nice mind mapping tool. One of the best discoveries from trying it out was Slide.ly. I have never heard of that before being in this class. I really like the look and feel of it.
Lastly, our Japanese collaboration project proved to be a great success for team Nakama this go around. We were able to work with with our Japanese partners and ended up with a good product. The collaboration went smoother than I had expected because of the good, upfront planning that our group did.
Thank you again to Dr. Bert, Chester, Dal, and Rian for a great fall 2014 semester in 642!
