Here are the humble beginning to our final project in OpenSim. Our team project involves a scavenger hunt to find the objects that go with Hawaiian song lyrics as a way of comprehending what the song is about. This weekend, the team is starting to build out the main objects needed for the project such as a presentation board (pictured below), a video display, survey collectors, and start to work on the content.
I've done some research into materials that were native. That wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. Initially, I wanted to try to use native materials for the build, but ended up going with strawberry guava bark for some of the build, something close to pili grass for the roof, and modern kapa for the presentation board. The moss rock wall in the background doesn't have concrete holding it together, making it a little more authentic.
Our team meets tomorrow evening to see what the next steps are. The paper will also be a challenge to get going. I know we'll make it!
